LindyworksToronto's Premiere Lindy Hop Workshop Weekend
Registration Open Soon for LINDYWORKS 2018-Sept 28th-30th Featuring Marie N’diaye & Anders Sihlberg from Stockholm, SWEDEN!
ABOUT OUR TEACHERS:
Marie N’diaye and Anders Sihlberg have been Lindy Hop partners since 2010.
Marie has been dancing almost as long as she has been walking, training mostly in modern Jazz. She fell in love with Swing, Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz in 2007. A true scientist, Marie loves history and facts – studying the roots of the dances through collaborations with other dancers as well as through research conducted on the different dancers of the swing era. Her main focus is on the jazz women and chorines of the time. She taught at Cat’s Corner in Montreal before moving to Stockholm, a base from which she has since taught internationally.(www.mariendiaye.com)
Anders has studied dances such as ballet, contemporary and authentic jazz since the age of 10 and has developed a passion for body movements and teaching dance. At the age of 13 he fell in love with Lindy Hop and has since then been fortunate to teach and perform around Sweden and Europe.
Both Marie & Anders teach regularly at Chicago Swing Dance Studio in Stockholm, Sweden.
Lindyworks is Toronto Lindy Hop’s annual weekend of workshop wonderfulness! It’s all about Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz dancing. Our goal is to put on a weekend of solid dance instruction that both challenges and inspires dancers during the day and to host evening parties that feature the best swinging jazz music and are a big bushel of fun.
Past workshop instructors include Laura Glaess & Todd Yannacone, Brittany & Dargoff, Alain Wong & Gen St-Lo, Lennart Westerlund & Ewa Burak, Daniel & Åsa Heedman, Alain Fragman & Sylwia Bielec, and Evita Arce and Michael Jagger.
Please Note: The swing dance options below are suggestions on where to dance. TLH cannot guarantee that there will be swing dancers at events posted unless we state differently beside the event below or on our Social Media (FB, Twitter). Looking for Lessons? Check out...
