SATURDAY: Saturday Night Swing Presents ‘The Shannon Butcher Swing Band’ + TLH theme Night: Star Wars vs Star Trek and a CASH Prize ‘Vulcan Force Jedi Swing Comp’ (frmly known as Jedi Swing).
About Theme: (Note Dressing up is not mandatory). May the 4th is close at hand (star wars fans know this reference), but we did not want to leave out the Trekkie fans sooo..come dressed as your Fav Star Wars or Star Trek Character and dance the night away to Shannon Butcher.
About Competition: ‘Vulcan Force Jedi Swing Comp’ (frmly known as Jedi Swing). This is a blindfolded Jack n Jill Contest. Winner takes home a CASH PRIZE! $5 entry fee, register at the front desk when you arrive for the dance.
Location: Dovercourt House (805 Dovercourt Rd).
Time: Beginner dance classes 7pm to 9pm before the Dance Party. Charleston 7pm, Lindy Hop 8pm. Swing Dance Party 9:10pm to 1am.
Cost: Dance Party $13, $15 with one class, $18 with both. $3 off for full-time students.
