Hi all,

Winterstock is soon upon us so here’s a list of things to pack for the weekend.  This is not necessarily a complete list but should hopefully cover most things you will need.

Important Items

1. Please bring your own non-breakable glass for beverages outside of meals.

2. There will be a talent show on Saturday night so please bring any instruments, props, costumes you may need for this if you are planning on entering the show.

3. We will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, but please bring your own snack food for between meals.

4. The Wolf Den provides blankets, pillows and sheets for sleeping but feel free to pack extras should you need it.  They also have towels but again, bring your own if you prefer.

General Items

  • Shirts, pants, skirts, socks, underwear, dance shoes, slippers, for indoor wear and dancing
  • Toiletries
  • Lunch pack
  • Earplugs & sleeping mask
  • Alcoholic beverages if you so choose
  • Thermos/water bottle
  • Camera
  • Musical Instruments
  • Sunblock and lip balm w/ S.P.F. Of 20-40
  • Hand sanitizer
  • First Aid Kit (there’s a first aid kit on-site but it’s always good to have extras around just in case)
  • Flashlight and extra batteries
  • Phone and iPod chargers
  • iPod or laptop if you plan to DJ!
  • Any medication you require (e.g. After-Bite, Epi Pens, pain killers, anti-histamine, etc.)
  • Cooler (if you bring food/beverages that need to be refrigerated)

Winter Specific Clothing

 Head:

  • 1 Wool/Fleece Balaclava or Toque for outdoor wear
  • 1 Wool/Fleece Balaclava or Toque for sleeping/spare
  • Ski Goggles or Sunglasses (UV Protected)

Body:

  • 2 Sets Long Underwear – Medium Weight
  • (Polypropylene/silk/wool or equivalent)
  • Regular Underwear & T-Shirts (wicking type is best)
  • Medium Weight Shirt or Sweater (Fleece/Wool)
  • Jacket or Sweater for layering (Fleece/Wool/synthetic)
  • Wind Jacket with Hood (Nylon or Gore-tex)
  • Medium Weight Pants (Fleece)
  • Wind Pants and/or snow pants (Nylon or Gore-tex)
  • Fleece Vest
  • Belt or Suspenders
  • Winter parka with hood

Hands:

  • Gloves (Fleece/Wool)
  • 2 pairs Mittens (Fleece)
  • Over-Mitts (Gore-tex/synthetic)

Feet:

  • 2+ pairs Liner Socks (Polypropylene)
  • 2+ pairs Heavy Socks (Wool Blend or Fleece)
  • Sorel or other Winter Boots (with spare liner)
  • Gaiters (large – to fit over Boots if possible)
  • Hiking Boots (as spare footwear or for snowshoeing if boots don’t fit snowshoes)

Rain-Gear:

  • Gore-tex or Nylon Rain Jacket (must fit over stacked layers)
  • Gore-tex or Nylon Rain Pants (must fit over stacked layers)
