We hope you’re all getting excited for the amazing NOLA Workshop Weekend next week!  For those of you that may not be familiar with the instructors Andy Reid and Amy Johnson, here are a couple videos of them dancing.

While some of you may know Amy Johnson as the lead organizer of some of the best lindy hop dance events worldwide (such as the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown and Midwest Lindyfest) she has also been dancing for many, many years.  She started dancing lindy hop in Minneapolis in the late 90’s and has been dancing ever since.  Currently she resides in New Orleans and is part of the NOLA Jitterbugs and is a fixture on the local scene.

Here’s a video of Amy dancing in the streets of New Orleans with the Loose Marbles and dance partner Chance Bushman.

Andy Reid is also a legend in the lindy hop scene.  He started his dance career as a member of the Ithaca, NY troupe Minnie’s Moochers in the late 90’s and has been teaching worldwide ever since.  The video below is Andy dancing with Bethany Powell in the Invitational Jack & Jill at the International Lindy Hop Championships last year.
